Paddington 2 - Film Review
Paddington 2 is the continuation of Paddington Bears adventures in London, alongside the Brown family.
Paddington 2 was a delight to see from the opening title to the end credits. It's heartwarming messages about family are very genuine and sincere, and never feel cliched, like some family films do nowadays. The adventure takes Paddington through hilarious and charming experiences that are a delight to watch, and prove a purpose to the overall story; such as the Brown family's re-introduction at the beginning of the film, which is necessary for newcomers, like myself.
As Paddington 2 progresses, it never feels dull, and constantly keeps the story moving through our lead bear, as well as the Brown family. Hugh Grants presence in this film is far and away the most hysterical thing in this film, from his sheer arrogance and his well-timed humour, this is probably the best performance I've seen from him. By the last act of this film, I was gripped and amused, and couldn't wipe this stupid grin of my face for the majority of this runtime.
Paddington 2 was a sheer delight to watch, and a very heartwarming family film. Marmalade sandwiches for everyone!
